Pursuing Excellence—Developing Potential

Welcome to the Internet home of the Otto-Eldred School District. Our schools provide safe, empowering learning environments for preschool through twelfth grade students in the communities of Eldred, Duke Center, and Rixford, Pennsylvania.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are happy to provide you with information about our district, our schools, and the excellent programs and services we offer our students.

A Message from Our Administration

We are looking forward to seeing students return on August 22! I know staff and students are preparing for school mode to restart! Kindergarten camp and orientations will be starting this week!

Our planning for 2024–2025 has extended beyond our typical staffing, supplies, and cleaning routines. Bridge construction in Rixford and Duke Center will continue to provide transportation challenges. We do anticipate the Duke Center bridge (SR 346) completion early in the school year. The Rixford bridge (SR 246) will continue to create transportation delays well into the fall. At the elementary school, the Eldred sewer and water project will continue through much of the school year. We are in communication with project planners so we can announce any routing changes for buses, vans, or daily traffic in advance.

Eldred has experienced a few water supply issues through the summer. Our food service staff and administration will be prepared so that little, if any, impact will be experienced during the school day. We do not anticipate the need for any delays or early dismissals due to unforeseen water supply issues.

Please keep the school informed of any address or contact information changes that may have occurred over the summer. The best time to stop by or call is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the week at (814) 817-1380.
